I live in Herne Hill, South London. Like many local communities up and down the country we have an active on line forum - see info@hernehillforum.co.uk - which seeks to address local issues. This forum has been instrumental in bringing in grants to upgrade our environment and to obtain funding for a variety of initiatives, including creating a space in the local station for community use. Now they are turning their attention to pollution and traffic issues.
Everyone of us is probably linked to some kind of community forum and as such we need to mobilise these structures if we are to impact on climate change and environment issues successfully. Please think of these in seeking out initiatives, best practice or areas for us to increase our membership and become stronger in creating a larger force for change.
