Using Carbon Capture and Storage to Help Release More Oil?

This article from Bloomberg spells out a strategy from Occidental, an oil company that wants to use carbon capture technology to help extract oil. It seems to me that the genius of this approach is that it allows them to be carbon neutral and it provides good returns.

There’s obviously way more to it than that and obviously, I’m deeply sceptical. Does anyone have insights to share on this?
