Grow your own sponges

It’s great the National Trust is growing their own washing sponges. Totally going to grow these this year and replace washing up and washing implements. Costs less and is better for the environment. No brainier :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

How brilliant. I swapped from plastic scrunchies for showering to loofahs which work well. Not so good for washing up as they don’t get really baked on stuff off but replaced sift things well. They were quite pricey so it would be a great idea to grow your own. I might see if some of my friends with gardens would out some in for me

I saw this article too - although not in the Telegraph!!! I thought we’d have a go at growing too. We’ve already ditched plastic sponges, but if they grow easily, as Tom says, it’s a no brainer!
