I’m exploring the benefits of using a variable rate electricity tariff alongside battery storage and use of an air source heat pump. I expect that if you combined these systems you could reduce your energy bills to an incredibly low level (when considering Octopus Energy often pays you to use energy during night). Has anyone investigated the figures around this?
I expect it would make Heat Pumps even more viable as you could use a very low energy tariff to run them.
I would be interested to hear other people’s experiences/thoughts.
