If anyone hasn’t noticed, the Eden Project is currently pioneering the installation of a geothermal energy plant to provide heat and electricity. It has only really come to my attention recently the amount of geothermal energy available, check out the map and infographic below.
It supposedly can provide 20% of electricity demand and heating for a vast number of buildings both domestic and commercial.
Does anyone here have more information to share on this topic? Has anyone done the numbers on whether it’s a commercially viable solution? Would be great to get people’s input.
