Local church investing in new boiler

So I just learnt from my Mum that the local church is about to spend £9,000 on getting another oil boiler to heat the church. It seems crazy in this day and age that they aren’t going to an air source or ground source heat pump. I’m thinking about volunteering to get quotes to support a more environmentally friendly solution.

What are people’s initial thoughts. As it’s only heating probably once a week would you actually get the return on investment from ground source or air source heat pumps?

Hi Tommo Good idea mate, I’ve been looking into getting an air heat pump for my hot water system. Though my research taught me that if the air temp gets below 9°C they don’t work so well. I’ll try to dig up the information i found stating this but wanted to give you the heads up just in case the ball was already rolling.

thanks
